We were not exactly sure what to expect but would have to say that our time at the Spread Eagle Tavern was one of the most pleasant experiences that we can recall. It was fine dining of the highest order surrounded by an almost palpable sense of our American heritage.

Fabulous place to go! About an hour's drive for us, but the Spread Eagle Tavern is always at the top of our list when choosing a destination for an evening out for dinner.
Whether dining with a large group, or an intimate dinner for two, we have always had the best service and outstanding food! Regardless of the time of day - luncheon and dinner menus have plenty of variety to choose from (and you will not be disappointed with the bruschetta! The absolute best we've ever had!).
The wait-staff is attentive, and have never made us feel as if we needed to hurry though dinner. Each time we've gone to the Spread Eagle, we lose ourselves in good conversation, and the dining experience - so much so - that we have found ourselves often one of (if not the last...) to leave!
Beautifully appointed dining rooms, & guest rooms. If you have an appreciation for historic buildings, and fine dining, you can't go wrong with the Spread Eagle Tavern!
